Job summary

Yale University is seeking a Staff Writer to join the Donor Relations and Strategic Initiatives team within SOM Development and Alumni Relations in New Haven. You will craft letters, stewardship reports, proposals, and fundraising collateral, translating academic content into engaging copy for broad audiences while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drafts, formats, proofs, and edits written materials for diverse audiences.
• Conducts background research and interviews with faculty, donors, students, and leaders to develop content.
• Coordinate production of publications and communications aligned with fundraising goals.
• Manage multiple writing projects and ensure timely delivery across print and digital channels.
• Collaborate with teams across Development and Alumni Relations and the SOM Dean’s Office.
