Job summary

Lake Tahoe Wildlife Center is seeking a Development & Communications Manager to lead fundraising, communications, and outreach efforts. This full-time role reports to the Executive Director and collaborates across teams to advance LTWC’s mission and community presence.

Responsibilities include managing major gifts, grant programs, events, corporate sponsorships, and annual campaigns, while guiding the outreach department and citizen-engagement efforts.

Job description

Schedule: This is a full-time position that follows a 40-hour workweek with the possibility of partial remote work.Typical hours are Monday-Friday during daytime hours, with some work required on occasional evenings,holidays, and weekends.

Compensation: Hourly, non-exempt position with a starting pay range of $24-$28 per hour, based onexperience.

  • Includes 80 hours of paid time off, 5 days of sick leave, and holiday pay.

POSITION SUMMARY:The Development & Communications Manager reports to and works collaboratively with the Executive Directorto advance LTWC’sfundraising, communications, and outreach goals. This role supports all areas ofdevelopment, including major gifts, planned giving, grant management, fundraising events, corporatesponsorships, and annual fund campaigns, while also overseeing the organization’s outreach department andcommunity engagement efforts.
