Job summary

Loyola University Chicago’s Development team seeks a Development Associate in Corporate and Foundation Relations to support fundraising activities, manage data, and assist with communications and reporting.

Under supervision, you’ll draft materials, prepare budgets and proposals, coordinate events, maintain CRM data, and help build donor relationships. This role offers hybrid work in Chicago and opportunities to contribute to Jesuit mission.

Responsibilities

  • Draft letters, emails, and collateral materials for use with internal and external audiences.
  • Maintain a library of commonly used proposal and report texts and attachments, including budgets, board lists, organizational demographics, and other data points, top donors, and organization/unit descriptions.
  • Independently or in partnership with Prospect Management and Research, generate prospect lists for programs, projects, event sponsorships, and other fundraising priorities.
  • Format gift tables, budgets, and other support materials for inclusion in proposals, reports, and other submissions.
  • Format PowerPoint presentations for use with internal and external audiences.
  • Provide Advancement support for event sponsorships, including formatting solicitation materials, drafting correspondence, preparing invoices and pledge reminders, sending invoices, and following up on payments, and providing support at events.
  • Independently or in partnership with Advancement Services, create regular and ad hoc reports on fundraising progress, team activity, historical performance, and other topics.
  • Manage, distribute, and reply to incoming emails in the CFR shared mailbox.
  • Maintain content for internal websites and internal communications such as grant proposal deadlines, RFPs, and limited-submission opportunities.
  • Schedule and organize internal and external meetings, including preparation of agendas and materials.
  • Serve as CFR team point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Produce invoices, gift acknowledgments, receipts, and reports in collaboration with Donor Relations, Advancement Information Services, and academic units.
  • Maintain the quality and accuracy of corporate and foundation records in the CRM database of record.
  • Review incoming corporate and foundation transactions to ensure data integrity.
  • Review reports from Sponsored Program Accounting to ensure data accuracy in Advancement CRM.
  • Review foundation records in university research administration system(s) and Office of Research Services systems/reports to ensure data accuracy in Advancement CRM.

Duties and Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

The Development Associate, Corporate and Foundation Relations, serves as a key member of the Corporate and Foundation Relations unit within University Advancement. This position provides administrative support and operational, communications, reporting, and other functions directly related to the team’s fundraising activities and goals.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Under direct supervision reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, the Development Associate will provide fundraising, database, and administrative support for the Corporate and Foundation Relations team.

Fundraising/Project Support
  • Draft letters, emails, and collateral materials for use with internal and external audiences.
  • Maintain a library of commonly used proposal and report texts and attachments, including budgets, board lists, organizational demographics, and other data points, top donors, and organization/unit descriptions.
  • Independently or in partnership with Prospect Management and Research, generate prospect lists for programs, projects, event sponsorships, and other fundraising priorities.

Database Hygiene
  • Maintain the quality and accuracy of corporate and foundation records in the Advancement Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) database of record, including organization records, proposals, contact reports, alumni employment information, and organizational contact information.
  • Review incoming corporate and foundation transactions to ensure data integrity.
  • Review reports from Sponsored Program Accounting to ensure data accuracy in Advancement CRM.
  • Review foundation records in university research administration system(s) and Office of Research Services systems/reports to ensure data accuracy in Advancement CRM.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
  • Associate’s degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred
