Job summary

Menorah Park of CNY in Syracuse, NY seeks a Development Associate to support fundraising and day-to-day foundation operations. Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of DonorPerfect or another fundraising database preferred.
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse group of constituents.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and availability to work occasional evenings and weekends for Foundation events.
  • Commitment to the mission, values, and traditions of Menorah Park and the Central New York Jewish community.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate donor and constituent records and process all gifts, pledges, tributes, and memorial gifts.
  • Generate daily, monthly, year-end, and customized reports; develop queries and reports as needed.
  • Maintain database integrity and donor interaction records across campaigns, grants, and pledges.
  • Assist in developing and implementing the annual giving plan, including goals, timelines, objectives, and benchmarks.
  • Support donor communications, appeals, stewardship, retention, and cultivation activities.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen relationships with current and prospective donors.
  • Plan and execute two major fundraising events, including the annual golf tournament.
  • Coordinate event logistics, sponsorships, registrations, communications, volunteers, guest lists, revenue tracking, and follow-up.
  • Assist with other fundraising campaigns, special projects, and Foundation initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and represent Menorah Park and the Foundation professionally.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

In partnership with the Executive Director, the Development Associate supports the fundraising and day-to-day operations of the Foundation, with primary responsibility for donor database management, gift processing, donor stewardship, annual giving, and special events. The position provides exceptional customer service to donors, board members, volunteers, staff, residents, families, and community members and serves as an active member of the Foundation team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Donor Database & Gift Administration
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor and constituent records, including residents, families, board members, volunteers, and community members.
  • Process and record all gifts, pledges, tributes, and memorial gifts; ensure timely acknowledgements and notifications.
