Job description

About Jewish Communal Fund

The Jewish Communal Fund (JCF) is the largest Jewish donor advised fund, with a 53-year history of making charitable giving simple and efficient for our fundholders. JCF manages nearly $4 billion in charitable assets for over 5,400 funds. By working at JCF, you become a part of a collaborative team that supports the granting of $1 billion a year to charitable organizations in every sector. Hours: 9:00-5:00 Monday-Thursday, 9:00-4:00 Friday. Initially, this position requires five days a week in the office. Upon successful completion of training, it will transition to four days in the office and one day of remote work. Flexibility to assist after hours for events and during the busy season in December is required, with overtime eligibility.

Position Summary

The Development and Donor Relations team plays a crucial role in attracting new Fundholders and managing relationships with over 7,500 existing fundholders. This dedicated team focuses on providing excellent customer service, ensuring that our fundholders can easily use our services and have a high level of satisfaction. The team has set ambitious goals to grow both the number of funds and JCF’s assets under management, thereby increasing JCF’s charitable impact. • Respond to inquiries by phone and assist fundholders in using JCF’s donor portal.
  • Coordinate logistics for JCF events, including managing event registration, running invitation lists, and consulting with external vendors.
  • Provide support before, during, and after events for JCF’s philanthropic community.
  • Assist in the development and updating of fundholder resources.
  • Prepare materials for meetings with donors and conferences.
  • Other administrative duties as necessary.

  • Detail-oriented, effective time manager, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent relationship building, interpersonal skills, and customer service orientation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours at events and during JCF’s busy season (December), which may be outside of normal business hours.

The position is open for immediate hire.

Annual salary range: $60,00-$70,000, plus a robust benefits package.
