Role Overview

Brown RISD Hillel (BRH) is seeking a talented professional to manage development and administration for our award winning, fast growing non-profit. Reporting to the Executive Director and in partnership with institutional stakeholders, the Development and Administration Manager provides excellent oversight of BRH’s budgetary and advancement spheres, including direct administrative support for the Board of Trustees, and also oversight of bi-weekly payroll. Much more than an ordinary administration role, this is a unique opportunity for candidates seeking to make a transformative impact on Jewish life at one of the leading academic ecosystems in the country.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee the management of our donor database, Little Green Light
• Produce monthly development and budget reports
• Serve as main point of contact for annual audit, 990
• Assist Executive Director in preparation of the annual budget
• Manage the relationship with our offsite accounting partners, Jitasa
• Supervise a Development Assistant
• Manage HR, payroll, and benefits
• Onboard new staff and student workers
• Maintain records of organizational policies
• Manage board calendar and all preparations and arrangements for board meetings
• Maintain records of board meetings and actions
• Maintain excellent relationships with various Brown University administrative, legal, and advancement entities

On a day to day basis you will

• Review financial reports with ED and Board Treasurer
• Transfer funds as needed within banking and investment accounts
• Review timecards and submit for bi-weekly payroll
• Update the employee handbook as necessary
• Oversee entry of and spot check development data
• Communicate with donors regarding donation options, payment issues, etc.

What You’ve Accomplished

• A background in organizational administration and financial management is necessary.
• Experience in non-profit HR is ideal.
• Candidates should have at least a bachelor’s degree and at least 3-5 years of relevant experience. We will consider seasoned professionals as well as those with only a few years’ experience.

What You’ll Receive

• Competitive salary in the non-profit marketplace. The salary range for this role is $65,000-$75,000
