Job summary

Repsol is seeking a Development Analyst or Associate to support the western region’s utility-scale wind, solar, and storage projects across the western United States. You will work with a global, inclusive team to deliver innovative and sustainable energy solutions.

This role is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office, 2 days at home). You’ll contribute to project development, permitting, and due diligence while supporting a growing renewables portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Strong problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
  • Detail-oriented with ownership of work.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Team-oriented with collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist project leads in managing a portfolio of solar, wind, and storage, developing processes, milestones, and cost forecasts.
  • Create materials for project development, including presentations and market analyses.
  • Assist with permitting strategies, schedules, and agency/public outreach to minimize cost and risk.
  • Create and manage internal tools for tracking efforts and coordinating resources and priorities.
  • Assist with land agreement negotiations, processing, and permit preparation.
  • Support due diligence on project acquisition opportunities as requested.
  • Provide development support through engineering, procurement, construction, and financing as required.

Job Description:

Repsol is seeking either a Development Analyst or Associate to join our dynamic team and support the western region’s growing utility scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects across the western United States.

_ This position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. _

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist project leads in managing a wide portfolio of solar, wind and storage, focusing on achieving goals and defined target deadlines. Develop processes and tracking tools with key milestones, parameters, schedules, and cost forecast.
  • Creating materials that support project development, including presentations, talking points, and market analysis.
  • Assist with implementing permitting strategies, schedules, and agency and public outreach efforts to minimize project cost and risk.
  • Create and/or manage internal tools for tracking efforts to develop/construct projects and for coordinating internal resources and priorities
  • Assist with development efforts such as land agreement negotiations, processing, and permit preparation
  • Support due diligence on project acquisition opportunities as requested
  • Provide development support through engineering, procurement, construction, and financing as required

Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible to work for any U.S. employer without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree a plus
  • Broad knowledge of Federal, state, regional, and local air, water, and conservation laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Excellent problem solving and strategic thinking skills, detail-oriented with a strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership of work product.
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload, often providing support to processes managed by colleagues, while prioritizing tasks and effectively juggling competing deadlines.
  • Excellent Team-worker, prioritizing the fulfillment of team objectives
  • Travel, as required (up to 25%)
  • 0-4 years of work experience in a related industry desired but not required
