Job summary

Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH) is seeking a Development Accounting Manager in Boston to coordinate project and corporate accounting for consolidated real estate activity, reporting to the SVP Finance and Accounting and Director of Finance and Accounting.

The role covers intercompany activity, audits, predevelopment funding tracking, and supervision of staff, with emphasis on nonprofit housing finance and compliance across multiple entities.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Accounting required.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in real estate accounting.
• Experience with affordable housing and low-income housing tax credits is preferred.
• Proficiency with Yardi and Crystal Reports is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review intercompany activity between 100+ property entities and parent companies.
• Assist with tracking predevelopment funding and development activity.
• Review schedules for annual corporate audits and tax returns.
• Supervise junior accounting staff and support department goals.
