About the role
Dagster is an orchestration platform for data assets development, production, and observation. Our goal is to make Dagster+ the leading hosted solution for these systems.

You will be part of the Developer Success team within the engineering organization, providing technical support to Dagster+ customers and open-source users, collaborating with enterprise clients, creating documentation and tooling, and offering feedback to improve the product. This is a full-time, remote-friendly position with competitive salary, equity, and benefits, based in the US with flexible hours.

Responsibilities

1. Technical Support

• Assist customers and open-source users with technical issues.
• Guide on data orchestration, pipelines in Python.
• Resolve installation, integration, deployment issues.
• Troubleshoot cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Kubernetes/Docker environments.
• Work flexible shifts between 7 AM and 7 PM ET, primarily 9 AM - 5 PM PT.

Documentation, Tooling, and Process

• Enhance documentation clarity and usability.
• Improve support tools and debugging resources.
• Provide product feedback to engineering teams.

Must-have Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical support or similar roles.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with distributed systems, containers (Kubernetes, Docker), cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), CI/CD.
• Strong communication skills, empathetic client interaction, effective representation.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently.
• Proactive engagement with customer issues and improvements.

Nice-to-have Qualifications

• Experience with data orchestration tools (Dagster, Airflow, Prefect).
• Knowledge of data engineering.
• Experience in high-growth SaaS startups.

The estimated annual salary range for this role is $160,000 to $185,000.
