Job summary

Prefect is hiring a Developer Success Engineer to diagnose and resolve technical issues across Prefect and Dagster. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, owning issues end-to-end, contributing to documentation, and building automation to reduce future volume.

You will work in a remote-first team, with on-call rotations and emphasis on customer outcomes, product feedback, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering and solutions teams.

Qualifications

• Must have Python fluency sufficient for reading and debugging code.
• Hands-on experience running workloads in cloud environments and containers.
• Experience with a workflow orchestrator (Prefect, Dagster, Airflow) is a plus.
• Strong track record in customer-facing tech support or solutions engineering.
• Clear, concise written communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues across Prefect and Dagster deployments in varied environments.
• Be the single point of contact, provide updates and gather evidence for root causes.
• Escalate appropriately and contribute to documentation and tooling.
• File reproducible product issues and feed back to Engineering.
