Job Overview

As a Relativity Developer Services Specialist, you will act as an advocate for developers seeking to create solutions on top of the Relativity Platform. You will work directly with our external developer community and customers, enabling them to have the best possible development experience on the platform. Utilize your software development knowledge, Relativity best practices, and customer-facing skills to guide customers in developing custom applications.

The Relativity Developer Services Specialist works under the general direction of managers.

Job Description and Requirements

Role Responsibilities:

  1. On-board and train external developers, illustrating Relativity's best practices.
  2. Provide guidance on design and implementation decisions for development on the Relativity Platform.
  3. Collaborate with team members to address customer questions, problems, and work requests.
  4. Manage multiple work requests without losing sight of deadlines.
  5. Deliver excellent customer service using designated communication methods.
  6. Use technical knowledge to facilitate resolution of customer development issues.
  7. Understand the functionality of our platform tools, including APIs, extensibility points, and infrastructure.
  8. Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and customers.
  9. Report defects or provide product feedback discovered during customer and developer interactions.
  10. Operate independently with minimal oversight, proactively resolving issues.
  11. Balance judgment, research, customer feedback, stakeholder input, and time constraints to ensure correct solutions.
  12. Use escalation paths appropriately to involve the right team members.
  13. Coordinate with other developer-facing teams to communicate new APIs.
  14. Lead presentations and workshops at events like Relativity Fest and webinars.
  15. Maintain detailed records of activities and customer interactions.
  16. Support initiatives led by the Cloud Services team.
  17. Exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions.
  18. Demonstrate commitment to company values.
  19. Willingness to obtain Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) certification within 6 months.

Preferred Qualifications - Technical

  • BSc or BA in computer science, engineering, business IT, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience working with non-technical clients in a consultative capacity.
  • Experience in the technology industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in .NET development with C# and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience in web development using JavaScript, ASP.NET, AJAX.
  • Experience consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies is a plus.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications - Professional

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and relationships.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
  • Strong facilitation and inquiry skills.
  • Experience with Agile/Kanban and Scrum methodologies.
  • Customer-facing interaction experience is a plus.

Compensation

Relativity offers competitive, fair, and equitable compensation, including base salary, annual bonus, and long-term incentives. The expected salary range is $77,000 to $115,000, with the final offer based on experience, skills, and internal pay structures. Salary at the top end is less common to allow for future growth.
