Job summary

Thinking Machines is seeking a Developer Relations Engineer in San Francisco to engage open source builders around Inkling, Tinker, and frontier AI models. You will ship code examples, SDKs, and tutorials, while representing the company at talks, livestreams, and conferences.

You’ll collaborate with research and infra teams to translate community feedback into product improvements, build integrations, and help developers deploy and fine-tune models at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in developer relations or similar with open source
• Strong production-quality Python experience
• Hands-on experience fine-tuning LLMs
• Experience in open source community engagement

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain high-quality agentic training, code examples and documentation for Inkling and Tinker
• Work with developers and researchers to debug issues, gather feedback, and improve their experience fine-tuning and deploying models
• Turn community feedback into concrete improvements to Inkling, future models, and post-training recipes
• Build demos, integrations, and tools that help developers adopt Thinking Machines' models
• Represent Thinking Machines in the open source community through blog posts, talks, tutorials, livestreams, and meetups
• Help shape the developer experience roadmap as new models and platform features ship
