Developer (Product Characterization), IBM Corporation, Poughkeepsie, NY (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted)
- Analyze high-speed I/O (input/output) signals from on-chip IP (intellectual property) in wafers, modules, and system form.
- Support end-to-end analog circuit characterization for IOBIST (Input Output Built-In Self-Test).
- Define and enhance test methodologies to verify I/O functionality.
- Provide essential instructions to guide the I/O team and improve yield/performance for future nano technologies.
- Coordinate with test and design teams to perform corrective actions with semiconductor fabrication suppliers.
- Present I/O product analysis to microprocessor development and production teams, including test, design for test, characterization, yield, and quality.
- Work with the production manufacturing team on I/O issues during module build.
- Characterize I/O circuits, identify process and design issues early in product development to improve yield and quality.
- Characterize Analog Circuit IOBIST signatures on IBM microprocessor products.
- Own the Specification sheets (EMTS) for this analog circuit across the product suite, serving as the official document for the Systems team and customers.
- Develop software applications for the IP Characterization product engineering team to enhance productivity and analytics for faster yield and quality issue detection.
- Present detailed reports to stakeholders, test teams, design teams, and product engineering regularly.
- Deliver analysis and characterization on field returns related to IO failures across products and generations.
- Utilize tools and techniques such as Product Characterization Circuit, SQL, Python, Java, Wafer/Module Test Analysis, Yield Modeling, Electrical probing, SEM + nProber, and Electric circuit design/analysis.
