Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to design, build, and maintain analytics solutions across clinical, operational, and financial domains. You will collaborate with stakeholders, develop data models, dashboards, and self-service tools using Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik, and ensure governance and data quality in EMR data environments.

Applicants should have at least a bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of BI experience, including SQL, data modeling, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 2 years SQL query development.
• 2 years data visualization development using Power BI/Tableau/Qlik.
• 4 years data modeling or data analysis experience.
• 1 year Crystal Reports development (preferred).
• 1 year experience with healthcare data (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and maintains data models, marts, reports, and self-service tooling.
• Develops and maintains reports, dashboards, and visualizations to meet stakeholder needs.
• Communicates with stakeholders and governance teams to support BI solutions.
• Supports EMR BI data models and responds to software upgrades.
• Documents specifications and performs testing and data validation.
• Performs data analysis to support clinical, financial, and operational improvements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Business Intelligence Developer designs, develops, and maintains business intelligence solutions that promotes data driven decision making across the organization. The Developer works collaboratively with business and clinical stakeholders, business analysts, technical support teams and leadership to design and deploy analytic solutions that support operational, clinical, and financial performance improvement. The incumbent utilizes critical thinking, technical, analytical, and communication skills to create data models, subject area marts, reports, data visualizations, and self-service tools that meet customer needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Utilizes business intelligence development tools to design, deploy, and maintain moderate to complex data models, extracts, subject area marts, stored procedures, and self-service reporting tools that support organization wide data driven activities.
• Develops and maintains reports, data visualizations, and interactive dashboards that meet customer needs.
• Maintains regular written and verbal communications with key stakeholders and leadership to support the design, implementation, validation and governance of business intelligence solutions.
• Maintains and supports electronic medical record business intelligence data models, functions, and reports. This includes active participation and support of software upgrades.
• Documents technical/business specifications, performs testing and data validation to support data governance and maintenance of business intelligence solutions.
• Performs data analysis to support organization clinical, financial, and operational performance improvement initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

• Bachelors in or 4 years' work related experience Required
• Masters in in Business Administration, Computer Science, Informatics, or related discipline. Preferred

EXPERIENCE

• 2 years SQL query development Required
• 2 years Data visualization development using Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or similar software Required
• 4 years of experience in data modeling, report development, data reporting, or data analysis Required
• 1 year Crystal Reports development Preferred
• 1 year of experience working with healthcare data Preferred

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• EPIC - Clarity Data Model - Certification Must take Epic's Clarity Data Model training and successfully gain initial certifications within three attempts. Epic training will be given upon hiring. Required
