Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Developer Experience & AI Platform Architect to shape how teams plan, build, deliver, and operate software across the enterprise. You will lead solution architecture for developer experience and AI-enabled delivery capabilities, connecting product, engineering, platform, and security teams to drive secure, scalable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or enterprise architecture.
• 5+ years of experience leading architecture or technical strategy for enterprise-scale platforms.
• Hands-on software development experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages.
• Experience creating and governing architecture artifacts, reference architectures, standards, guardrails, roadmaps.
• Experience architecting integrations across the software delivery lifecycle.
• Direct experience leading architecture and integration of developer-facing AI capabilities.
• Experience defining software delivery measures to evaluate flow, quality, reliability, or outcomes.
• Ability to influence senior leaders across multiple functions without direct reporting authority.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture for developer experience and AI-enabled delivery capabilities across the enterprise.
• Guide architecture standards, integration patterns, lifecycle data, roadmaps, and technology decisions.
• Ensure secure, resilient, and cost-efficient AI and developer platform capabilities with measurable delivery outcomes.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, platform, architecture, security, risk, finance, sourcing, and operations.
• Provide leadership visibility into delivery speed, quality, reliability, and developer experience.
