Job summary

Amazon Web Services Japan GK is seeking a Developer Advocate to share knowledge and bridge technology and people in Tokyo. You will create engaging technical content, tutorials, and sample apps helping developers succeed with our platform.

You’ll represent our company at conferences, run workshops, gather feedback to influence the product roadmap, collaborate with engineering teams, and nurture developer communities and open-source projects while staying hands-on with coding.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full stack development experience.
• Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages.
• Experience creating technical content (blogs, tutorials, workshops).
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills for developers of varied backgrounds.
• Demonstrable experience engaging with developer communities (meetups, conferences, GitHub, Stack Overflow).

Responsibilities

• Create engaging technical content: tutorials, blogs, and sample apps for AWS services.
• Represent the company at conferences, meetups, and online events with talks and workshops.
• Gather developer feedback to influence the product roadmap and work with engineering teams.
• Build relationships with developer communities and contribute to open-source projects.
• Engage developers daily on forums and social channels, staying current with industry trends.
