Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking a Java Developer- Back End in the Columbia, SC area. This role involves analysis, design, programming, and implementing complex tasks for the EMS application. You will work with Oracle DB, Hibernate, Spring, Jenkins, and GitHub in an Agile SCRUM environment.

The work arrangement is onsite/partially 3 days/week, with a team of 3 SCRUM squads addressing CMS requirements, production issues, and new features. Residency requirements apply for US-based candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Degree equivalency options: 4 years of experience or 2 years + an associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, program, and implement complex applications tasks.
• Devise procedures to resolve business problems using computer resources.

Java Developer- Back End

Subcontractors: NO SUBCONTRACTOR CANDIDATES

Credit Check: Must be processed during pre-screens

Security Clearance/Residency: CMS security clearance/residency requirements will apply.

These roles require candidates to meet residency requirements (i.e., having lived in the U.S. for three out of the past five years) as outlined in the background screening guidelines.

Location Requirement: Not looking for anyone outside of the Columbia area at this time (30-45 minutes from the site).

Required Education

• Bachelor's degree-in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree.
• Degree Equivalency: 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree

Required Work Experience

• 8 years-of application development, systems testing or other job related experience.

Work Arrangement

• Partial Onsite - Onsite/Partially 3 days/week and as needed

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

About The Team

• The CMRS team consists of 3 smaller SCRUM teams of roughly 7 people each
• Currently working on enhancements as required by CMS, production issues and other new features
• Work consists of roughly 80% technical debt and production issues and 20% new work on existing applications
