The Developer Evangelist team aims to win developers' hearts and minds to secure the platform's future. As a Developer Evangelist, you will grow the developer community for Agora's real-time communication cloud services, build and nurture relationships online and offline, create sample codes, and act as our developer ambassador, trainer, and guide. You will also collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Product teams, providing feedback to enhance the developer experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop demo apps, reference apps, and sample codes aligned with target customer use cases. Share source code on GitHub, blogs, and other channels.
• Create and deliver training content, tutorials, starter kits, and best practices; provide feedback on documentation.
• Promote Agora products and services at conferences, meetups, coding boot camps, online forums, social media, and more.
• Introduce new Agora services, features, and products to the technical community.
• Build relationships with influencers, foster a healthy technical community, and gather feedback for product and engineering teams.
• Explore complementary technologies like Augmented Reality to solve customer use cases.
• Use data, experiments, and customer feedback to drive community growth.

Required Skills, Experience, and Competencies

• 3-5 years of experience, including software engineering and web app development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, React, NextJS, Express/Fastify; familiarity with Golang and Python.
• Experience with AI engineering, deploying AI-powered agents, and workflows.
• Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation, fine-tuning LLMs, and AI integration.
• Experience with tool/function calling, multi-step interactions, and advanced prompting techniques.
• Understanding of vector databases and embedding models.
• Experience with APIs, SDKs, cloud AI services, and real-time AI interactions.
• Strong communication skills, both technical writing and public speaking.
• Passion for connecting developers and communities through the cloud.
• Experience with 3rd party communities, social media, blogging, webinars, podcasts, and training.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

This position is based in Santa Clara, CA. Candidates must reside in the Bay Area or relocate by July 2025. We cannot consider non-local applicants or those planning to relocate after this date.

US Salary Details
Estimated salary range: $150,000 - $160,000 OTE. Salaries vary based on experience, skills, and location. We offer comprehensive benefits, equity, and competitive salaries.
