Job summary

AliveCor, Inc. in Mountain View is seeking a Dev/SysOps Engineer to architect and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, with emphasis on containerization and deployment automation using Docker and Kubernetes.

You will work in a hybrid Mountain View office but remote work may be possible for the right candidate. The role covers Terraform provisioning, Helm charts, and monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana, plus CI/CD pipelines with GitHub/GitLab and Jenkins/Travis.

Qualifications

• Experience architecting and operating AWS-based systems.
• 4+ years in cloud technologies.
• AWS Certified SysOps Professional recommended.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services: ECS, EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda.
• Linux OS and networking fundamentals; automation best practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and support cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Lead Docker/containerization and Kubernetes configuration.
• Provide Terraform provisioning and Helm Chart implementations.
• Implement and monitor CI/CD pipelines (GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins/Travis).
• Leverage monitoring via Prometheus and Grafana; ensure security/compliance.

The Opportunity:

We're looking for a talented SysOps Engineer to join our team and help us architect and build and maintain security and compliance solutions for the AWS cloud in our Mountain View Office (hybrid) but are open to remote for the right candidate. You will be responsible for architecting cloud-based solutions and will need to be proficient in infrastructure and platform design and management as well as application deployment automation. You will be working with Docker and other container technologies.

Responsibilities

• A hands-on role in architecture, design, development, and ongoing support of business applications and cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Strong experience in Docker, containerization, and Kubernetes configuration
• Good knowledge of infrastructure provisioning and configuration (Terraform, etc)
• Experience with Helm Charts
• Experience with Monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub/Gitlab, Jenkins/Travis.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience architecting and operating systems built with Amazon Web Services
• At least 4 years of experience in cloud technologies
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• AWS Certified SysOps Professional is recommended.
• Demonstrated competency with the following AWS services: ECS, EC2, EBS, S3, Glacier, RDS, VPC, Route53, ELB, IAM, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, SQS, SES, SNS, Lambda
• Deep understanding of the Linux operating system and networking concepts
• Expertise in leveraging Automation / sysops principles, experience with operational tools, and able to apply best practices for infrastructure and software deployment

The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $180,000. This range represents the good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage AliveCor reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of hire. The final compensation offer will be determined based on several factors, including geographic market rates, the candidate’s years of relevant experience, and specialized industry-specific expertise. In accordance with California law, this range is specific to the role’s responsibilities and does not include potential bonuses, equity, or benefits, which may also form part of the total compensation package.
