Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in Irvine, CA, seeks a DevOps Software Engineer II (.NET/C#) to join the Healthcare Payments team. As part of an agile group, you will design, develop, and troubleshoot secure, scalable software that supports the firm’s objectives.

You will drive automation and CI/CD improvements, leverage AI-assisted coding tools with peer review, and ensure compliance with security standards across the full software development life cycle.

Qualifications

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
  • Demonstrated and solid experience in C# and .NET technologies
  • Proficient in relational databases and SQL
  • Experienced with AWS services and cloud-native patterns for deployment, monitoring, and scalability
  • Hands‑on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Hands‑on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages
  • Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
  • Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security

Responsibilities

  • Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting

  • Applies knowledge of tools within the SDLC toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation
  • Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
  • Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development

As a Dev Ops Software Engineer II - .NET/C# at JPMorgan Chase within the Healthcare Payments team, you serve as an emerging member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.


Job responsibilities
