Kautex, a global automotive supplier, invites you to join as an Internship in Detroit, MI. You will work with engineering and maintenance to learn and optimize blow molding and assembly processes for fuel systems, conducting cycle-time studies and delivering standardized work instructions.

Ideal candidates are pursuing Engineering or Applied Science with a focus on automation/robotics and have skills in data analysis, electronics, software engineering, robotics/automation, and mechatronics.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a university degree in Engineering or Applied Science with a focus on automation or robotics.
• Preference for candidates with skills in Data Analysis, Electronics, Software Engineering, Robotics/Automation, Mechatronics.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with engineering and maintenance to improve processes.
• Analyze cycle times to reduce scrap and downtime.
• Understand blow molding and assembly processes for fuel systems.
• Create standardized work instructions as needed.
• Pareto and trend scrap drivers using analytical tools.
