Job summary

About the Role:

Restore Detox Centers is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Detox/Residential Technician to join our team in Poway, CA. In this vital role, you'll be on the front lines of client care, supporting individuals on their journey to recovery in a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities:

• Monitor and observe detox and residential clients to ensure safety and well-being throughout the day and night
• Assist clients with daily living activities, including hygiene, meals, and facility orientation
• Document patient behavior, vitals, and incidents accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients during the detox and early recovery process
• Facilitate groups, program activities, and assist in maintaining client schedules.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and structured therapeutic environment within the facility
• Communicate effectively with clinical and medical staff regarding client status and concerns
• Enforce facility rules and boundaries while maintaining a compassionate, client-centered approach
• Adherence to JCAHO and state client care standards

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications (RADT, or similar) preferred
• Prior experience in a detox, residential treatment, behavioral health, or healthcare setting preferred
• Strong understanding of substance use disorders and the recovery process
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and empathetic in high-stress or crisis situations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for accurate documentation and team collaboration
• CPR/First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment
