Volunteers of America, Utah is hiring a Recovery Assistant for Adult Men's Detoxification in Salt Lake City. The role focuses on building rapport through trauma-informed care, facilitating stabilization, and supporting clients toward healthier lifestyle choices.

Responsibilities include conducting intake, monitoring vital signs, ensuring safety, and maintaining facility standards. The position requires teamwork, a valid driver’s license, and completion of background checks; CPR/First Aid

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office for data entry.
• Willingness to learn about substance use and recovery.
• Grounded in your own recovery, if applicable.
• Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license and insurable.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake interviews with clients who are intoxicated or in withdrawal.
• Answer phones and provide information on Detox process.
• Ensure client safety and enforce facility rules.
• Take vital signs and monitor prescribed medications.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the facility and report needs.
• Work as a team with supervision and reporting.
