Valley Hope of Grapevine is seeking a Registered Nurse (PRN) for 7:00am - 7:00pm shifts in a residential treatment facility between Dallas and Fort Worth. The role focuses on compassionate medical care for patients in recovery and supports detox admissions and ongoing nursing duties.

The position emphasizes hands-on patient care, adherence to medical philosophies, and collaboration with a nursing team under a Nursing Director.

Qualifikationen

• Required: Associate’s degree in nursing.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice in the state of employment.
• CPR certification.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• One year of clinical nursing care work experience.
• ACLS.
• Work experience in substance abuse treatment facility.
• Certified Addictions Registered Nurse (CARN).

Aufgaben

• Executes prescribed treatments and medication interventions as established for each patient.
• Implements nursing care in accordance with Valley Hope’s medical philosophies, policies, and procedures as well as regulatory bodies.
• Conducts detox admissions and provides patient care during detoxification, including pre-screening and health assessment, administering detox plans, and monitoring patients.
• Records treatment activities and patient observations in records accurately and timely; completes paperwork as needed.
• Communicates with nursing supervisors, nursing staff, and clinical staff regarding patients’ treatment and status.
• Follows policies for medical emergencies (e.g., convulsions, suicides, Delirium Tremens).
• Maintains a safe and sanitary environment with infection control techniques.
• Oversees non-licensed nursing staff under Nursing Director.

Valley Hope of Grapevine, located between Dallas and Fort Worth, provides healing residential and outpatient drug and alcohol addiction treatment services.

Valley Hope nurses specialize in making patients feel loved from the moment they walk in the door by providing compassionate medical care, key to the short and long-term success of patients in recovery. Nurses typically work with patients from admission to discharge, providing supportive medical care over 30-45 days of treatment, offering a unique treatment approach, and rewarding work experience with hands on help for patients to heal and recover in real time.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required:

• Associate’s degree in nursing.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice in the state of employment.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• One (1) year of clinical nursing care work experience.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Work experience in substance abuse treatment facility.
• Certified Addictions Registered Nurse (CARN).

COMPENSATION:

• PRN RN Base Rate: $42.00
• Night: $5.00

JOB SUMMARY:

• Executes prescribed treatments and medication interventions as established for each patient.
• Implements nursing care in accordance with Valley Hope’s medical philosophies, policies, and procedures as well as any other regulating bodies to ensure quality patient care.
• Conducts detox admissions and provides patient care during patient detoxification process including pre-screening of patients, obtaining physical assessment data and health history, administering detox treatment plans, and monitoring of patient.
• Records treatment activities and patient observations in patient records accurately and timely; completes paperwork requirements as needed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Communicates with nursing supervisors, nursing staff, and clinical staff regarding patients’ treatment and status.
• Follows established policies and procedures for all medical emergencies (i.e., convulsions, suicides, Delirium Tremens, etc.).
• Maintains a safe and sanitary environment applying infection control techniques and universal precautions.
• Oversees non-licensed nursing staff as instructed by and under the direction of the facility Nursing Director.

• Residential treatment facility setting; requires walking throughout the facility.
