Job summary

The Salvation Army Harbor Light Programs is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to monitor patient health, administer medications, and provide compassionate nursing care within detox and program settings.

Responsibilities include screenings, admissions, medication administration, vital signs, and cooperation with the medical director and treatment team to maintain a safe, substance-free environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain a current PN or RN license.
• BLS certification.
• Experience in substance abuse preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage client inquiries regarding information, referrals, and admission.
• Conduct pre-admission screenings for detoxification services.
• Admit/discharge clients to detox and residential programs; complete required medical documents.
• Perform hourly checks on detox clients for safety.
• Assist with cleanup of bodily fluids as needed.
• Complete COWS/CIWA assessments per detox protocols.
• Perform instant urinalysis drug screenings.
