The Lake County Sheriff's Office seeks a Detention Corporal to supervise jail operations, oversee detention staff, and ensure the safety and security of inmates. Strong communication and leadership are essential, with bilingual proficiency encouraged for community connections.

Responsibilities include enforcing jail procedures, conducting cell searches, maintaining records, and coordinating transport and court duties.

Qualificações

• Three years of detention/corrections experience.
• Two years as Field Training Officer or P.O.S.T. skills instructor and leadership experience.
• HS Diploma or GED is required.

Responsabilidades

• Observe movement and activities of all jail entrants.
• Limit access to jail and restricted areas.
• Conduct interior searches of jail and inmate checks daily.
• Maintain jail security and monitor safety of inmates, detainees, visitors and staff.
• Book in and bond out prisoners as needed; maintain inmate cash accounts and records.
• Log information and maintain accurate inmate activity records; operate jail equipment.
• May testify in court or hearings; maintain efficient records and filing systems.
• Supervise Detentions Deputies; ensure training records and safe operations.
