Job summary

Cornerstone Electronics in Alabama seeks a Project Engineer to manage the integration of security and automation systems for detention facilities. You will oversee engineered submittals, fabrication drawings, procurement, scheduling, and field commissioning.

Travel up to 20% is required. A BS in Electrical Engineering is required, with hands-on experience in CCTV, card access and duress systems, plus strong communication skills and proficiency with AutoCAD, Windows, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years engineering experience in electronic security or automation controls.
• BS in Electrical Engineering or related engineering technology field.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office; knowledge of CCTV, card access and duress systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee integration of security and communications systems for new and existing facilities.
• Prepare engineered submittals, fabrication drawings, and installation documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and field staff; support startup, commissioning and closeout.
• Collaborate with project management, programming, drafting and installation teams to meet requirements.
