• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation; communicate observations and concerns to appropriate personnel.

As a Detention Security Officer -Full Time Entrance Reporting in Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for staff and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least one year of law enforcement experience, at least two years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or at least three years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
