The City of Garland is seeking a Detention Officer to detain and process arrestees in the City of Garland, ensuring humane treatment and constitutional rights during confinement. Duties include meal service, health items, and medication dispensation while maintaining inmate welfare.
Responsibilities also cover security monitoring, bond and fine processing, and arraignment packet preparation. Minimum qualifications require a high school diploma or GED, with no experience required; up to 1 year
Responsible for detaining and processing people who are arrested in the City of Garland and to humanely treat and protect the constitutional rights of the inmates during their time of confinement.
Salary: Depending on qualifications and experience.

Education/ Experience: Up to 1 year experience as a detention officer or jailer in a government jail.
Valid Class C Texas driver's license. First Aid/CPR Certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
