Job summary

Gila County Community College is seeking a qualified medical administrator to supervise the inmate health program, provide direct patient care as needed, respond to emergencies and educate staff on health and wellness.

The role also liaises between medical and detention staff, manages a supplies inventory, and leads training to ensure compliant, high‑quality health services across facilities.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathy, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant required.
• Ten years of medical administrative experience; county detention facilities experience preferred.
• Arizona State Medical License and ACLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• - Supervise and manage the medical department and nursing/medical staff.
• - Provide direct patient care for routine medical concerns and respond to emergencies.
