Job summary

ICE is seeking a Facility Health and Safety Officer to lead infection control, occupational health, environmental health, and all-hazards emergency preparedness across detention health settings. You will supervise staff training, maintain SDS, PPE tracking, and ensure accreditation readiness with FHPM, FTO, and IPO collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a qualifying program for USPHS officers.
• Minimum five years of relevant program management and health experience.
• Ability to obtain/maintain active USPHS status and medical licensure as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead infection control, occupational health, environmental health, safety and all hazards emergency preparedness programs.
• Coordinate reporting, data analysis, and improvement plans across IHSC responsibilities.
• Develop operating procedures and ensure dissemination to staff in a timely manner.
• Provide staff training, certifications (CPR/BLS), and education on IC topics.
• Serve as subject matter expert and liaison with FHPM, FTO, IPO, and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor PPE, biohazards, dosimetry, and compliance with NCCHC/PBNDS/ACA/FRS standards.
• Support accreditation efforts and participate in after-action reviews and drills.
