Job summary

Scott Humphrey Corporation in Austin, TX is seeking a Project Manager to lead corrections construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role offers exposure to high-profile, ground-up facilities across Central Texas, Mississippi, and the Southern U.S.

You will coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors, manage schedules and budgets, review drawings and scopes, and drive milestones to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience with a Commercial General Contractor.
• Ground-up commercial, institutional, government, justice or corrections projects.
• Experience from preconstruction through closeout.
• Strong understanding of means, methods, scheduling, cost control and budgeting.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors, consultants and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead project turnover from estimating to operations.
• Review drawings, specs, and subcontractor scopes.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Develop and maintain schedules, budgets and procurement plans.
• Coordinate permitting and project startup activities.
• Execute subcontract agreements and oversee buyout processes.
• Manage all phases of corrections and detention facility construction.
• Lead meetings with owners, architects, consultants and subs.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, COs and project documentation.
• Drive schedules and maintain budget performance.
• Maintain strong client relationships and proactive communication.
• Partner with Superintendents to ensure delivery.
• Conduct site visits, coordinate MEP, security and systems installations.
• Support inspections, testing, commissioning and turnover.
