Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of administrative support experience preferred.
• Computer literacy skills in standard software applications should be demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the security and safety of inmates and respond to alarms.
• Staff and operate security control rooms, monitoring inmates and security systems.
• Maintain accurate counts of detainees and enter current information into the Records Management System.
• Perform intake and receipt of inmate property and coordinate visitation for detainees, medical, attorneys or religious services.
• Operate Security Electronics System, intercom, radio, computer terminal, and telephones.
• Monitor visitor access, conduct searches for contraband, and escort visitors within the facility.
• Secure facility keys and review status and incident reports from other personnel.
• Inspect incoming mail and packages for contraband and deliver items to detainees.
