Responsibilities

Inspect prisoners and their quarters for cleanliness and sanitation; supervise trustees engaged in cleaning and serving food.
Arrange for prisoners to see visitors; inspect items; check mail.
Patrol the detention center to maintain order and safety.
Prepare paperwork to track inmates and manage inmate records.
Distribute inmate funds as needed.
Supervise daily inmate activities and assist in training and evaluation of new hires.
