Job summary

Mirion Technologies in Meriden, CT, seeks a Manufacturing Detector Engineer to lead development and continuous improvement of Germanium detector manufacturing steps. You will troubleshoot equipment, lead pre-production, and implement automation and instrumentation upgrades where feasible.

The role requires knowledge of vacuum/cryogenic systems, surface chemistry, and semiconductor processes, with 3–5 years of related experience and a BS in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience in semiconductor/germanium detector environments.
• Proficient with 3D CAD and manufacturing fixtures.
• Experience with automation and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and optimizes manufacturing processes for Germanium detectors and hardware.
• Facilitates the design and development of manufacturing fixtures for Fabrication, Assembly, and Test.
• Interacts with Engineering and Production to solve day-to-day manufacturing problems.
