Overview

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Detection Engineering Manager, Falcon Complete in the United States.

This role provides the opportunity to lead a team of detection engineers responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced threat detection solutions. You will drive strategy, execution, and innovation across detection engineering initiatives, ensuring high-quality and effective security monitoring. The position combines technical leadership with people management, guiding a team that works with both internal telemetry and third-party data. You will collaborate cross-functionally to align detection strategies with business objectives, influence product roadmaps, and establish best practices for scalable detection workflows. This is ideal for an experienced leader passionate about cybersecurity, continuous improvement, and mentoring high-performing teams.

Accountabilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of detection engineers, providing technical guidance and career development.
  • Define and execute strategic detection engineering initiatives aligned with business priorities.
  • Oversee the development, deployment, and testing of detection rules, tools, and infrastructure.
  • Establish and maintain quality and efficacy standards for detection capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and operations, to align detection strategies.
  • Manage team workload, resource allocation, and operational planning.
  • Define, track, and report key performance metrics for the detection engineering function.
  • Implement best practices and processes to drive continuous improvement in detection workflows.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in detection engineering, security engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience managing technical teams.
  • Strong expertise in cyber threats, detection strategies, and threat hunting.
  • Proven background in detection development, CI/CD practices, and large-scale detection deployment.
  • Knowledge of SIEM platforms, including Next-Gen SIEM, LogScale, Splunk, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing technical teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as GCFA, GCDA, GCIH are preferred.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
