Job summary

Responsibilities include exterior and interior washing, vacuuming, upholstery care, applying protectants, inspecting for defects, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows and wipes down door jambs.
• Vacuums interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris.
• Cleans upholstery, rugs and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents.
• Applies revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces.
• Applies special purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials following product recommendations.
• Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and cleaners.
• Inspects vehicles for dents, scratches, torn upholstery and poor mechanical operation.
• Restores appearance of engine area, rugs, upholstery and painted surfaces with touch-up paint when needed.
• Uses appropriate eye, hand and body protection when using cleaning products.
• Applies dressing on tires and tire wells.
• Keeps work area neat and clean and reports safety issues to management.
• Operates tools and equipment in a safe manner, follows dress code.
• Follows laws and company policies about safeguarding information; notifies supervisor of any illegal activity.
• Keeps current with annual HR training and other required trainings.

Cleans and refurbishes new and used automobiles. Conforms to dealership and/or manufacturer specifications and time allowances.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows and wipes down door jambs.
  
• Vacuums interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris.
  
• Cleans upholstery, rugs and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators and cleaning devices.
  
• Applies revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabric with spot and stain-resistant chemicals.
  
• Applies special purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment and following product manufacturer's recommendations.
  
• Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents.
  
• Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery and poor mechanical operation.
  
• Restores appearance of engine area, rugs, upholstery and painted surfaces. Uses touch-up paint, dyes and other appropriate materials.
  
• Uses proper eye, hand and body protection when using products that require protection.
  
• Applies dressing on tires and tire wells.
  
• Keeps work area neat and clean.
  
• Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
  
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  
• Follows the dress code the company has put in place. Maintains a clean and neat work area.
  
• Follows federal, state and local law as well as company policy about safeguarding all information.
  
• Reports on time to work and follows schedule that is given. Calls supervisor if he/she cannot be at work on time.
  
• Keeps current with annual HR training along with any other training that might be required for this position.
  
• Follows all company policies and procedures. Notifies supervisor of any illegal activity.
