Job summary

Steel Dynamics, Inc. in Hope, Arkansas seeks a CAD Detailer to prepare joist and deck layouts, fabrication bills of materials, and erection plans for New Millennium products.

You will produce Joist and deck layouts in AutoCAD, coordinate RFIs with customers and engineers, and calculate loading per contract documents while managing multiple projects to meet schedules.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluent with AutoCAD.
• Ability to visualize how elements fit together in 3D when working with 2D drawings.
• Willingness to go beyond typical duties to assist co-workers and customers.
• CAD related degrees and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate fabrication bills of material and erection plans from drawings.
• Prepare joist and deck layout plans and sections using AutoCAD.
• Prepare RFI's and coordinate project details with customers, steel detailers, engineers and others.
• Calculate joist and girder loading based on design loading in contract docs.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Meet schedules for assigned projects.
• Other duties as necessary.

• Prepare joist and deck layout plans and sections using AutoCAD
• Prepare RFI's and coordinate project details with customers, steel detailers, engineers and others
• Calculate joist and girder loading based on design loading provided on contract documents
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced, production driven environment
• Meet schedules for assigned projects
• Other duties as necessary
