Job summary

Historic Tours of America in St. Augustine, FL is seeking a CASTmember to help maintain the image and condition of our vehicles and facilities while upholding high safety and cleanliness standards.

The role includes washing and detailing vehicles, performing preventive maintenance, and assisting with building upkeep. Shift times cover early morning and evening slots; the team operates across multiple tours and attractions with a strong focus on guest experience and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently over long periods within established rules/regulations.
• Commitment to safety and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Wash, scrub, polish, and detail vehicles and equipment.
• Perform preventative and general maintenance, inspections, and repairs to building and equipment (including painting).
• Notify manager about major repairs.
• General maintenance duties: cleaning, trash removal, restrooms, floors, windows, and grounds.

Shift Time

Shift Times Until 11/15/25: 6 AM-3 PM, 11 AM-8 PM

Additional Shift from 11/16/25 - 1/11/26: 9:30 PM-6 AM shift.

Essential Functions

• Wash, scrub, polish, and detail vehicles and equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance, general maintenance, inspections, and install/repairs to the building, grounds, and building equipment, so the business continues to run smoothly and that the physical condition does not deteriorate. This includes painting building and equipment.
• Notify manager concerning the need for major repairs.
• General maintenance duties include but are not limited to gathering and emptying trash, service cleaning, and supply restrooms. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming, also strip, seal, finish, and polish floors. Clean windows and mirrors. Dust furniture, walls, fixtures, and office machines. Sweep outdoor walkways, trim vegetation, or grass. Keep grounds free of litter and weeds.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Ability to work independently over long periods of time within the scope of established rules and regulations.
• Ability to determine the type of tool and equipment needed to do a job
• Ability to watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
• Ability to safely fuel and park vehicles
• Ability to identify, gather, and analyzes information. Exhibit sound and accurate judgement and make timely decisions.
