Job summary

Greg Hubler Automotive in Muncie, Indiana is seeking a reliable Detailer to support the service department by delivering high-quality vehicle detailing. You should be eager to learn, customer-focused, and thrive in a team environment that rewards performance.

You will wash exteriors, clean interiors, shampoo carpets, and ensure showroom readiness. The role requires a clean driving record, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work in a fast-paced setting with some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Maintain a clean driving record & valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment efficiently.
• Ability to follow processes and take direction.
• Punctual and able to work Saturdays (typically every other).
• Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• On feet for up to 8 hours daily on concrete.
• Work in a non air-conditioned environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales and service departments with clean and quality detailed vehicles. Conform to dealer specifications
• Wash exterior, clean interior, vacuum interior, shampoo carpet and seats, and clean windows
• Clay bar exterior of vehicle
• Clean engine and engine compartment
• Clean and polish wheels
• Inspect vehicles for noticeable defects and bring to managers attention
• Have vehicles showroom ready when returning to lot for sales
• Maintain clean area by sweeping and picking up trash
• Laundering of detail rags
• Tag the vehicle with banners, decals and key tags including mileage

• Have vehicles looking showroom ready when getting back to the lot for sales
• Maintain clean area by sweeping, picking up trash
• Help with laundering of detail rags
• Tag the vehicle with necessary banners, decals and key tags including capturing mileage

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Maintain a clean driving record & valid driver’s license
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment efficiently
• Ability to follow processes and take direction
• Must be punctual and be able to work Saturdays (typically every other)
• Must be able to lift and move up at least 50 lbs
• Requires being on your feet (on concrete) for up to 8 hrs daily
• Must be able to work in a non air-conditioned environment
