Job summary

Bergstrom Automotive in Manitowoc is seeking a Detail Technician to thoroughly clean and present vehicles, both inside and out, including washing, vacuuming, and waxing.

You will inspect for damage, apply protective treatments, and ensure each vehicle meets Bergstrom Automotive's standards before it leaves the lot. You’ll work with service and sales teams to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive detailing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
• Must be able to bend, lift, and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Team player with ability to work with service and sales teams.

Responsibilities

• Detail vehicles interiors and exteriors, including washing, vacuuming, and waxing.
• Inspect vehicles for damage and report findings to the team.
• Apply protective treatments to vehicles and maintain equipment.

What You'll DoVehicle Detailing: Perform thorough cleaning, polishing, and waxing of vehicle exteriors and interiors, including washing, vacuuming, and spot-cleaning upholstery.Inspection: Inspect vehicles for any damage, defects, or areas requiring additional attention, and report findings to the service team.Quality Assurance: Ensure that all vehicles meet Bergstrom Automotive's high standards for cleanliness and presentation before they are returned to the guest or placed on the sales lot.Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean detailing equipment and ensure the work area is organized and safe.Product Application: Apply protective treatments to vehicles, such as paint sealants, leather conditioners, and fabric protectants.Team Collaboration: Work closely with the service and sales teams to prioritize and manage the detailing workload effectively.Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am to 4:00pmPay starting at $17.00-19.00/hour based on experience. Earn an extra $2.00 per hour worked every Saturday! What We're Looking ForExperience: Previous experience in automotive detailing or a related field is preferred.Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently, independently and with a team.Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.Knowledge: Familiarity with detailing products, tools, and techniques.Guest Service Orientation: Commitment to delivering a high level of service and quality to our guests.A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
