Job summary
Xcite Automotive is seeking an Automotive Detail Shop Manager for our Grand Rapids partners. You will lead daily operations of the detail shop, supervise detailers and washer attendants, and ensure quality and dealership-ready results.
The role requires hands-on detailing when needed, strong organization, and the ability to manage workflow in a fast-paced dealership setting. Weekend availability is expected.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional automotive detailing (interior and exterior).
- Past supervisory, lead, or assistant manager experience in a shop, dealership, or reconditioning environment.
- Strong knowledge of detailing products, tools, and safety practices.
- Weekend work is required; availability on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
Responsibilities
- Assist with supervising and coaching detail shop employees.
- Oversee daily operations, scheduling, and shift coverage.
- Perform hands-on automotive detailing as needed to support workflow.
- Ensure vehicles meet dealership-ready quality standards before delivery.
- Maintain inventory of detailing products, chemicals, and equipment.
- Monitor safety, policies, and quality control.
- Collaborate with dealership managers to meet production goals.
- Identify process improvements to increase shop efficiency and turnaround time.
