Job summary

Car Center Collision & Repair in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Detail/Porter to support our auto body shop team. The role involves detailing vehicles before and after repairs, transporting vehicles, and assisting with inspections.

You should have a clean driver's license, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. We offer holidays, PTO, and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and move heavy items as needed.

Responsibilities

• Detail customer vehicles before and after body repairs are completed.
• Complete Pre/Post Inspection Checklists.
• Transport vehicles in and out of the body shop.
• Transport customers to and from the body shop as needed.
• Clean up shop and parking areas as directed.
• Perform quality control checks.
• Assist with moving boxes and materials as required.

Detail/Porter Responsibilities

• Detail customer vehicles before and after body repairs are completed


• Complete Pre/Post Inspection Checklists


• Transport vehicles in and out of body shop


• Transport customer to and from body shop as needed


• Clean up shop (including common areas) and parking area as directed


• Quality Control Checks


• Move boxes, metal, and other materials to appropriate bins (must be able to lift over head)


• Verify all client vehicles are secure at the end of the day


• Other responsibilities may be assigned by the General Manager
