Job summary

Aliya Healthcare Consulting seeks a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to analyze, reconcile, and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with regulations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience, strong Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Healthcare industry experience is a plus. This on-site role is based in Skokie, IL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience required.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated financial statements for internal and external reporting.
• Analyze financial data, identify trends and discrepancies, and develop spreadsheet reports.
• Prepare and post general ledger entries while maintaining accurate accounting files and records.
• Reconcile bank, balance sheet, and other financial accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare payments by reconciling accounts, accruing expenses, and assigning account numbers.
• Research and respond to accounting questions by analyzing financial data.
• Enter and convert financial data into the general ledger and gather supplemental information.
• Review financial information for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain organized and confidential financial records.
