Job summary

Pafford Medical Services in Oklahoma City (Hybrid) or Hope, AR is seeking an Ambulance Billing Verification Specialist to review and verify patient information, insurance coverage, medical necessity, and billing requirements before claim submission.

You will identify missing or inaccurate information, resolve documentation discrepancies, and help ensure transports are prepared for coding and billing, working within the PMBS division.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with knowledge of insurance verification and ambulance billing requirements.
• Experience in healthcare billing, insurance verification, or revenue cycle operations preferred.
• Ability to interpret insurance eligibility information and payer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify ambulance transport records for accurate patient information and insurance coverage.
• Identify missing or inaccurate information and resolve documentation discrepancies.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy before claim submission.
• Verify patient demographics and multiple payer coverages (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, etc.).
• Determine coordination of benefits and payer priority; research discrepancies as needed.
