Job summary

ENS Solutions, LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer to support government activities in Annapolis Junction, MD or Sterling, VA. The role focuses on engineering desktop builds (Windows, Mac, Linux), STIG compliance, lifecycle management, and advanced endpoint configurations.

The ideal candidate will design, test, and deploy GPOs, images, and software deployments, while maintaining DISA baselines and end-user security. A TS/SCI clearance and CI Poly may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining Windows, Mac, and Linux desktop environments.
• Experience with Active Directory, group policy creation and maintenance, and SCCM.
• Familiarity with STIG, DISA baselines, and end-user security controls.
• Scripting in PowerShell, Python, and Bash for automation.
• Experience with VDI architectures (Citrix, VMware) and virtualization.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to obtain CI Poly.

Responsibilities

• Build endpoint and desktop environments strategy aligned with DIA CIO road maps.
• Maintain DISA-approved WIM and Secure Host Baseline (SHB).
• Deploy Windows and Office security updates and create configuration guides.
• Develop and deploy GPOs in Active Directory implementing STIG controls.
• Create and deploy desktop images and GPO updates for end-user devices.
• Utilize PSADT to deploy packaged applications; document IT processes.

Job description

Our work depends on a Systems Engineer joining our team to support Government activities in Annapolis Junction, MD or Sterling, VA.

As a Systems Engineer supporting the Government, you will be a part of a team charged with engineering solutions for desktop (physical & virtual) builds for Windows, Apple, and Linux operating systems, STIF compliance, life cycle, etc.

In this role, a typical day may include:

• Building the strategy for the endpoint environment, including emerging technology, new technical solutions, software, and hardware based on DIA CIO road maps
• Maintaining DISA-approved WIM and Secure Host Baseline (SHB) including testing and transferring to appropriate enclaves
• Downloading, packaging, and deploying Windows and Office Security Updates
• Developing, implementing, and documenting formal configuration guides as needed
• Developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining Group Policy Objects (GPOs) in Microsoft Active Directory (AD) for end user devices, which implement STIG and other device and account controls
• Developing, testing, and deploying desktop images including applications and GPO updates
• Deploying and updating approved packaged applications using PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT)
• Developing technical support documentation for IT equipment and systems as required

• Detailed knowledge of end user computing environments including Windows 10, Windows 11, Mac OSX, and their supporting infrastructure components such as Active Directory, group policy creation and maintenance, and SCCM
• Experience with deploying, configuring, and managing enterprise solutions for Windows 10 and 11
• Experience with Python, PowerShell, and Bash Scripting
• Familiarity with VMware ESXi and VSphere.
• Familiarity with virtualization network on multiple classifications.
• Familiarity with Citrix or VMware VDI architecture.
• Must possess an Active TS/SCI and willingness to obtain and maintain a CI Poly
