Job summary

Nammo Defense Systems Inc. in Salt Lake City is seeking a Desktop Support System Administrator to maintain, secure, and optimize IT systems for daily end-user operations. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, manage Active Directory, and ensure policy compliance.

Responsibilities include monitoring servers and networks, implementing patching and hardening, administering cloud services (Azure, AWS) and VMware, managing backups, and contributing to incident documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in system administration or technical support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Experience with networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1/2 support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues for end-users.
• Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud-based services.
• Administer Active Directory, managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Manage cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and virtualized platforms (VMware vSphere).
• Ensure data integrity, backup reliability, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Maintain and troubleshoot enterprise applications, including email, collaboration tools, and cloud services.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
