Join Our Team as a Desktop Support Technician - Mission, KS (Onsite)
We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a contract role in Mission, KS - 66202. This position involves providing hardware and software support to employees and new hires, along with administrative tasks such as reporting and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Install and troubleshoot software on Windows and Apple laptops/desktops, including IMAC processes and remote support.
- Resolve post-deployment issues across multiple platforms: Windows, Mac, and mobile devices.
- Manage printer repairs, installations, and asset disposal/redeployment.
- Coordinate hardware shipping, data backup/recovery, and hardware refreshes.
- Handle warranty repairs, depot services, and walk-up support.
- Manage spare parts, inventory, and asset tagging within the asset management system.
- Provide VIP support and assist with audio/video health checks.
- Coordinate with external vendors for dispatch and repairs.
- Manage service requests, incidents, and asset assignments.
- Collaborate with teams for onboarding and hardware management.
- Generate weekly reports on inventory and hardware outflows.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of IT experience, including technical training.
- Proficiency with Windows and Mac platforms, including imaging Windows 10 OS.
- Basic understanding of network concepts such as TCP/IP and Ethernet.
- Experience with networked printers and office productivity software.
- Strong customer service, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize.
- Ability to work extended hours if needed.
- Excellent communication skills and team collaboration.
- Own a vehicle for travel (mileage reimbursed) and hold a valid driver’s license.
