Position: Desktop Support Technician

Location: Wauwatosa, WI (100% Onsite)

Duration: 6+ Months

Job Type: W2

Interview: Web-based (Camera On)

Note: Only current Wisconsin residents or those willing to relocate at their own expense will be considered.

Role Overview

We're seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide first-level support for IT-related issues. This role focuses on refreshing PCs as part of the asset lifecycle program and ensuring smooth operations for employees, contractors, and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Support PC hardware/software (Windows 10, Office 365, enterprise apps)
  • Install/maintain operating systems and images
  • Set up and troubleshoot peripherals and smartphones
  • Manage user accounts, printing issues, and connectivity
  • Document incidents/requests in a ticketing system
  • Prioritize and escalate support based on impact
  • Participate in on-call rotation and special projects

Required Skills

  • 6 months to 5 years of desktop support experience
  • Corporate IT support (or relevant education)
  • Device deployment and hardware troubleshooting
  • Associate degree or IT training

Preferred Skills

  • Printer, workstation, and peripheral support
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory / Azure AD
  • Familiarity with client/server environments
  • Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office
  • A+ Certification (if applicable)
