We are hiring for an immediate remote Desktop Support Technician role.

Location: Midtown Manhattan (Currently Remote Due to COVID)

Role Overview:

• Provide hands-on systems support in a professional, fast-paced environment as part of a long-term Windows 10 migration at a high-end Asset Management Company.

Responsibilities include:

• Configure and deploy PCs and laptops for executives.
• Manage break-fix issues on the trading floor and corporate offices, including troubleshooting, documenting, and resolving issues.
• Support a variety of Windows-based physical and virtual machines.
• Support market data platforms (Bloomberg, Reuters) and other financial applications.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on desktop support experience with Windows 10 / Windows 7; Windows 10 migration experience preferred.
• Experience in banking and/or financial industry, including trading floor and Market Data.
• Knowledge of PC/hardware, Windows 7/10, Microsoft Office (2010-2016), McAfee antivirus, desktop endpoint security, Internet Explorer 11, Firefox, Active Directory.
• Proficiency with VDI infrastructure, VMware Horizon View preferred.
• Experience deploying PCs and laptops for executives.
• Managing PC equipment inventory.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to move physical hardware.
• Microsoft certification preferred.
• College degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.

This is an immediate hire on a long-term contract basis.
